Hispanic Heritage Festival!
Sunday, July 30
Kensico Dam Plaza, Valhalla

Celebrate! The biggest weekend of the year when it comes to celebrating Latin American culture - and you don't want to miss it.
Come to the Hispanic Heritage Festival on Sunday, July 30, at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.
You'll find a colorful display of cultural exhibits, live music and dancing, arts and crafts, lots of activities for kids, and greatfood from Spanish-speaking countries. Best of all, admission is free!
The festival is one of Westchester's longest standing traditions, given that it dates back more than 20 years. Where else can you come to-gether with others from Spanish- Speaking countries, show off your own culture and have a day of of fun?

There's even a special free gift for the first 3,000 people! You'll find dozens of exhibits -many of them educational.

Local organizations will bring information about their programs and representatives will be available from museums, colleges, and social service and government agencies.

Guiding Eyes for the Blind will bring dogs and talk about the importance of volunteers and the availability of dogs for the blind/visually impaired person.

Children can get their faces painted, color a flag from their country, or make a piñata (and take it home). Visitors can take a salsa class or buy food from local restaurants offering goodies from around the world.

The event, from 12 noon to 7 p.m., is sponsored by Westchester County Parks, the Hispanic Advisory Board and the Office for Hispanic Affairs.
